A vet for your dog or cat in Mombasa

Veterinary care for dogs and cats across Mombasa and the wider coast, from Diani to Malindi, at our clinic or at your home. Vaccination, deworming, parasite control, sick visits, surgery and dentistry. And we tell you what it costs before we start, which almost nobody in this city does.

Leave your number and the clinic will call you back, usually the same day.

What we do

Pet vaccinations Courses for puppies and kittens, annual boosters, and rabies certification. On this coast the cold chain behind the vaccine matters as much as the injection. Deworming and parasite control Coastal parasite pressure is the heaviest in Kenya and it never lets up. Prevention here is continuous, and the gaps are what infect animals. Spay and neuter Routine sterilisation, priced by species, sex and weight. On this coast the wound and the recovery need more attention than they do upcountry. Sick pet consultations The commonest diagnostic error on this coast is putting early illness down to the heat. A thirty-second gum check separates the two. Emergency vet care Heatstroke and snake bite put two emergencies on this coast that barely register upcountry, and the ferry means timing matters as much as distance. Home visits On a coastline strung out along one road, and with a ferry in the middle of it, coming to you is often faster than you getting to us. Surgery Soft tissue procedures and wound repair. On this coast the anaesthetic is planned around heat and the aftercare around humidity. Dental care The most under-treated problem in Kenyan pets, and the one owners are most surprised by afterwards, because animals hide oral pain so completely. Laboratory and diagnostics On this coast the blood smear does more work than any other test, because it separates tick fever from a dog that is merely hot. Pet travel and export paperwork The paperwork is national. The problems are coastal: heat embargoes at loading, fewer long-haul options, and breeds airlines simply will not carry.

Where we work

Clinic appointments and same-day home visits across Mombasa, including Nyali, Bamburi, Shanzu, Mtwapa, Tudor, Kizingo, Old Town, Likoni, Bombolulu, Mkomani.

We also cover the wider coast, Diani, Kilifi, Watamu, Malindi, on scheduled visiting days rather than at short notice. Malindi is about 120km up the road and we would rather say that than promise a journey we cannot make.

Common questions

Do you treat animals other than dogs and cats?

No. We are a companion-animal practice for dogs and cats only. For cattle, goats, sheep or poultry you need a livestock vet, and for farm inputs an agrovet will serve you better than we can.

How quickly can you see my pet?

Tell us the symptoms when you book and we will tell you honestly whether it is an emergency, needs a slot this week, or can wait for a routine visit. We would rather turn a routine booking into an urgent one than have you wait.

Do you do home visits?

Yes, across Mombasa and the coast. Home visits suit cats that travel badly, multi-pet households, nervous dogs and end-of-life care. Some procedures still need the clinic, and each service page says which.

Why do you publish prices when other clinics do not?

Because not knowing is the main reason Kenyan owners delay a vaccination or a sick visit until the animal is much worse and the bill is much higher. Our ranges are indicative and we will always give you a figure before treatment starts.
